"Hilux brake pads" can mean a dozen different parts. The 17-character VIN (chassis number) removes all doubt — it identifies the exact model, engine, year and plant your vehicle came from.
Where to find your VIN
- On the vehicle registration book (white book in Zambia)
- On a plate or stamp in the engine bay (firewall or strut tower)
- At the base of the windscreen on the driver's side
- On the driver's door pillar sticker

No VIN? No problem
Older vehicles and grey imports sometimes have missing or unreadable plates. Then we work from:
- The engine code (e.g. 1KD-FTV, YD25DDTi, 4D56) — stamped on the block
- A photo of the old part or its label and any numbers on it
- The vehicle's year, model and whether it's 4x2 or 4x4, manual or auto
